Identifying SQL Server Error Log File used by SQL Server Database Engine can be done by reading SQL Server Error Logs. DBA can execute the XP_READERRORLOG extended stored procedure to read the SQL Server Error Log and search for its location used by the instance of SQL Server.
USE master
Go
xp_readerrorlog 0, 1, N'Logging SQL Server messages in file', NULL, NULL, N'asc'
Go
For other ways to read and find error log location please our article https://sqlserver-dba.co.uk/error-log/sql-server-identify-location-of-the-sql-server-error-log-file.html
To conduct distributed queries against FoxPro.dbc and.dbf files, you should utilise the Microsoft OLE DB provider for ODBC (MSDASQL) and the Visual FoxPro ODBC driver. It is not possible to use Jet OLEDB Provider with FoxPro. The VFP ODBC driver does not support threading. The VFP ODBC Driver may cause issues in specific situations since SQL Server is multi-threaded. If possible, we recommend connecting to SQL Server data using the VFP OLE DB Provider.
The following T-SQL code sample shows how to utilise the OpenQuery and OpenRowset methods in FoxPro to set up and use distributed queries. It also shows how to use SQL Server 2000 to update a remote FoxPro table.
