Indicates general errors that can be corrected by the user.

Cannot alter the login ‘sa’, because it does not exist or you do not have permission.
Identifying SQL Server Error Log File used by SQL Server Database Engine can be done by reading SQL Server Error Logs. DBA can execute the XP_READERRORLOG extended stored procedure to read the SQL Server Error Log and search for its location used by the instance of SQL Server.

This problem was caused by a lack of permissions. Before reading this article, please read my prior post.
SA stands for system administrator, and it is the system’s highest level of user. If a user needs to change SA’s permissions, that user must have greater or similar access than SA. Users in the systemadmin group can only modify the rights of the SA user.
The issue can be resolved by first adding any user to the systemadmin role and then using the same account to edit the system admin’s tool.
