Solution for Resolving the Error
- Click Start-> Run on the SQL Server running Windows 2008 R2 and input the command GPEDIT.MSC. The Policy Editor will appear.
- Expand “Computer configuration” – > Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options from the Policy Editor.
- All security policies are displayed in the right-hand window. Make the following two policies adjustments.
- Domain member: Encrypt secure channel data digitally (when possible) – Turn off this policy
- Domain participant: Secure channel data should be digitally signed (when possible) – Turn off this policy
- Close the policy editor and reboot the box after making these changes. (Not SQL Server, but the entire system should be restarted.)
- Also, have you checked the event log and SQL Server error log to see if there is a problem with SQL Server and Active Directory domain communication?
